The company oversees nearly 700 supermarkets in 10 states, the District of Columbia and Ontario, Canada. In addition to its mainstay A&P chain, it runs stores such as Dominion in Canada; Farmer Jack in Michigan and Ohio; Super Fresh along the East Coast from New Jersey to Virginia; Waldbaum in New York and New Jersey; and Sav-A-Center in Louisiana and Mississippi. A&P also makes private-brand products under labels such as America's Choice, Master Choice, and Health Pride for sale in its own and others' stores. German retailer Tengelmann Group owns 57% of A&P.

Application Procedures:: All requests must be submitted to a local A & P store.

All requests must be on your organizations letterhead and attached to the proper request form. (donation and solicitation request forms are available on the company's website)

Unsolicited requests for education support from organizations located outside Bergen County, NJ, are not accepted. Application form not required.

Applicants should submit the following:
1) detailed description of project and amount of funding requested
2) listing of board of directors, trustees, officers and other key people and their affiliations
3) copy of IRS Determination Letter

A maximum of one request per organization will be honored per fiscal year.

Donation requests that are approved will be honored with a store gift card.

4 weeks notice is required on all requests. (Final notification within 4 weeks).

If they are able to fulfill your request, you will be notified within four weeks after the date that your request was received.
